Earth Science Institute for Elementary Educators (ESIEE)

Goals:

1. Improve teachers' content knowledge and teaching skills related to science, which, in turn, will lead to improvement in the academic achievement of K-12 students in science.
2. Develop a sequence of online science content courses (Lab Earth)that employ relevant pedagogy to integrate and apply content knowledge through inquiry.
3. Deliver science content in a way that models appropriate pedagogy and compliments the best practices taught in teacher preparation programs.
